From May 25th to 28th, 2021, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP) will host the International Workshop in Sequential Methodologies (IWSM). The event is a biennial conference that aims to bring together statisticians, academics and market professionals to present, discuss and explore the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in sequential, theoretical and applied statistical methods.

The official announcement of UFOP as the next host of IWSM was made during the seventh edition of the event, held at New York State University, in Binghamton.

According to Ivair Ramos Silva, Professor at the Statistics Department (UFOP) and responsible for the organization of IWSM 2021, the announcement was received with great enthusiasm by the researchers present at the event.
