The Master degree Project of Tulaci Bhakti, a Biological student at UFOP, adviser by Prof.ª Yasmine Antonini, received the Student Grant Program 2017  Award from Neotropical Grassland Conservancy.

Designated “The connection among the effect of the landscape structure and the occurrence of forest birds in fragments of Mata Atlantica in the cities”, the research, developed by the pos graduated program in Ecologia e Biomas Tropical, evaluate the connectivity of the existing forests in Ouro Preto, along with the Conservation Units which surround it.

According to Yasmine,“The results of Tulaci’s project could be used to manage Ouro Preto territory, due to show how import the green areas are on the preservation of birds threatened with extinction”.
