CAINT received last Monday, September 10th, a visit from representatives of the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, Germany, to discuss possible double-degree partnerships between UFOP and the German institution.

During the meeting, the servant Anderson Gamarano made a brief presentation about UFOP. The President of the Collegiate of the undergraduate program in Economic Sciences, Prof. Martin Harry V. Barrenechea; as well as the President of the Collegiate of the undergraduate program in Administration, Profa. Deborah Kelly N. Pessoa, were also present. Professors Martin and Deborah talked about their respective programs and the possibilities of cooperation.

Both The director, Prof. Dr. Manfred Herbert, and Prof. Dr. Joachim Bach, from the Schmalkalden University School of Economics, spoke about the graduate program developed by the German university, about the history of cooperation between the two universities and also discussed possible curricular grades for the programs. Prof. Dr. Helton Cristian de Paula from CEAD and Prof. Francisco Vidal of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) also attended the meeting.

The current general mobility agreement with Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences was signed in 2013 and includes the exchange of professors and students from both institutions. 15 UFOP students have achieved academic mobility through the partnership so far.
